From TU:

YETI, a leading premium cooler and drinkware brand, made a substantial donation to Trout Unlimited right before the holidays that will be used to enhance a number of conservation efforts across the country in the coming year.

“YETI owners expect the very best when it comes to the gear they rely upon in the outdoors, and we work to exceed their expectations every day,” said Roy Seiders, who co-founded YETI along with his brother Ryan. “We also recognize that without intact habitat and healthy waters, they wouldn’t be able to enjoy the outdoors—or our products—nearly as much as they do today. That’s why we’re so passionate about helping Trout Unlimited improve America’s trout and salmon fisheries. This is an easy and smart thing to do.”

The donation to can be used as Trout Unlimited sees fit to protect and restore trout and salmon habitat, ranging from protecting Alaska’s Bristol Bay from hard-rocking mining to restoring native brook trout habitat in Appalachia to simply keeping the lights on in the dozens of TU offices located around the country.

“This is the kind of donation that speaks volumes about the folks at YETI,” said TU President and CEO Chris Wood. “We get a lot of support from our corporate partners and we’re grateful, but unrestricted donations help us make fishing better not in just one river or stream, but all over America.”

This isn’t YETI’s first substantial donation to TU. YETI is a prominent advertiser in TROUT magazine and last year, YETI was TU’s national sweepstakes contest sponsor, helping TU send two lucky members to fish for salmon at Bear Trail Lodge in Alaska.

“YETI is one of the most exciting and fastest-growing brands and is setting a great example here,” said Joel R. Johnson, TU’s chief marketing officer. “We’re proud of our partnership with YETI and look forward to a long and productive relationship that helps us protect our best trout waters, while reconnecting and restoring habitat and increasing opportunity all across America.”

YETI builds indestructible products that keep ice for days. Founded in Austin, Texas in 2006 by sportsmen Roy and Ryan Seiders, YETI is a leader in the premium cooler category, and has successfully expanded into premium drinkware, soft coolers, and branded apparel. Professional hunters, anglers, outdoor adventurers and BBQ pitmasters trust YETI to stand up to the world’s harshest conditions.
