Mayfly Outdoors is seeking an individual to join our team as a Universal Production Technician whose main emphasis will be on Anodizing and who will assist in other production areas, such as handwork and assembly, when needed.
At Mayfly Outdoors, we design, engineer, and manufacture fly fishing equipment. As our Universal Production Technician, you will work with a team dedicated to our mission and who take pride in the quality we deliver to the fly fishing world.
As the Universal Production Technician in our Anodize departmant, you will be responsible for the ( this is not an all-inclusive job duty list):
~Racking and unracking of parts according to established procedures and guidelines
according to established procedures and guidelines
~Ensure proper placement and alignment of parts on racks.
~Monitor test tanks, temperature control, and concentration levels.
~Perform tests on coatings used on the components.
~Performs and completes work in ERP system
~Handles toxic and hazardous chemicals with proper safety precautions
~Maintain chemical inventory and communicate with Lead/manager to maintain on-site supplies.
~Follows product recipe for metal finishing processes to ensure company standards are met.
~Completes each step (cleaning, etching, and rinsing) in proper order
~Other duties assigned, such as:
Work among a specialized Production team to handle general handwork to assembly duties
Works with Warranty/ Repair Specialist Lead to ensure cases are being fulfilled and completed
in an efficient and timely manner
Works with team and Production Specialist to ensure inventory needs are available and do not
fall below working needs
Required Skills & Expectations:
~Dexterous with small components, hand tools, and simple power tools
~Learn and replicate all necessary handwork processes for current models based on engineering.
~Work closely with engineering to determine when, where, and how to deburr a part most efficiently and effectively.
~Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge
~Maintain a high attention to detail while completing repetitive tasks.
~Work safely and efficiently in a group environment.
~Perform essential quality assurance.
~Data entry and Work Order processing with company-implemented computer programs, i.e., ~Google Sheets, Google Forms, NetSuite, etc.
~Communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues, management, engineers, and others.
~Lift and handle up to 50lbs infrequently.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
1+ years of production experience (preferred)
