Mark Schindel has joined the Cortland Line Company as their new Director of Sport Fishing and Outdoor Products. A 20-year veteran of the fishing and hunting industry, Mark has held marketing and sales positions at Shakespeare Fishing Tackle, Gerber Legendary Blades, PRADCO Fishing, and the Plano Molding Company. He started his career as a professional saltwater fishing guide on Florida’s west coast.
Randy Brown, Cortland’s President and CEO made the announcement. “Mark brings the depth of experience and expertise that we believe will help re-establish Cortland as a player in the conventional fishing market. The superior quality and performance of Cortland’s many braided line products have been a well-kept secret for too many years — and we’re looking forward to working with Mark to change that.”
Schindel added, “As a professional guide, I knew the importance of quality gear, and when it comes to Cortland’s product performance, it’s second to none.”
Schindel will be responsible for managing the sales and promotion of Cortland’s braided, extruded and coated lines, paracord and related products to sporting goods chains, distributors, leading independent retailers and charterboat captains across the U.S. and Canada.
