The leaves haven’t started to change in Montana, but Simms is already celebrating the upcoming season change with the launch of their Fall 2013 line of products.

To fit the season, Simms’ Fall 2013 line focuses squarely on outerwear and layering pieces to combat the chillier conditions of fall and winter. The Slick Jacket ($499.95) leads the way with 3-layer GORE-TEX® Pro Shell technology and features including ample storage via large integrated chest pockets for fly boxes and tip-wallets, coupled with internal organization for river mainstays such as sunglasses, tippets, and leaders. Add Simms’ vaunted watertight, adjustable cuffs and 3-point adjustable hood and you have a jacket for any fishing condition.

With input from its strong guide community, Simms has developed the thickest insulated jacket and pant in their line. The ExStream™ Jacket & Pant ($249.95, $199.95)—with PrimaLoft® Synergy insulation—both offer incredible warmth-to-weight performance, even when wet. The Jacket comes with the on-off convenience of a fully customizable 3-point cinch storm hood as well as zip hand-warmer and chest pockets.

Simms is introducing their first-ever Made in the USA layering piece with the Montana TechWool Zip Top ($179.95). The TechWool Zip Top uses local ranch and farm sourced wool fibers for a moisture-dumping, heat-holding companion. The 21-microns wool fibers provide plenty of warmth while the padded collar and flatlock stitching will make this a favorite off the water as well.

“Being based in Montana, Simms knows what works in the fall and winter,” says David Mellon, VP of Research, Design, Sourcing and Development (RDSD) & Marketing at Simms. “Our team is second to none in understanding what keeps anglers comfortable in all sorts of conditions and this line is a testament to that.”

The Axis Hoody ($199.95), powered by Polartec® ThermalPro® fabric, is a quick-drying piece that features no-sweat breathing capabilities, stretch fabric and patented hydrophobic cuffs. The outerwear lineup wouldn’t be complete without new WINSTOPPER® pieces. This season sees three—the ADL Jacket & Vest ($199.95, $179.95) and WINDSTOPPER® Hoody ($249.95).

Simms has also rebuilt two lines in its layering category – the Guide series and Waderwick series—for this year’s launch. To complete the line, Simms has a new version of their popular Rivershed Sweater ($99.95) and the new Fall Run Vest ($149.95)—a companion piece of the wildly popular Fall Run Jacket—as well as an overhaul of their DownUnder Merino Mid Zip Top & Bottom ($109.95, $99.95). The 100% merino wool pieces capture warmth while providing the ultimate in comfort.

The Simms 2013 Fall Line is available beginning August 5, 2013 in stores and online at SimmsFishing.com (with some styles available later in the season).
