Rocky Mountain Fly & Tackle Trade Day: Filling the Gap in Our Industry by BTI Sports

From BTI SPORTS:

With IFTD gone and no large-scale fly-fishing event scheduled in the Mountain West, shops and brands have been left without a practical place to meet. This fall, that changes.

BTI Sports will host the Rocky Mountain Fly & Tackle Trade Day on October 23–25 in Denver, Colorado. Designed as a focused, affordable alternative to costly national shows, the event welcomes fly shops, tackle retailers, guides, OEM/private-label brands, and distributors.

For independent shops and guides, the event offers more than just a look at new products. It provides an opportunity to strengthen their own brands in the face of e-commerce pressure — with direct support to develop custom rods and private-label programs that build long-term customer loyalty.

Equally important, attendees will gain access to true manufacturer-direct costs on rods, reels, and tackle — pricing that has traditionally been locked behind large factories and legacy brands. For many retailers, this is a chance to compete on stronger footing than ever before.

“The health of our industry depends on more access, not less,” says Chao Hang of BTI Sports. “We want to support shops and guides in Colorado and across the Mountain West with an event that’s realistic, valuable, and focused on their future.”

The La Quinta Denver Englewood Tech Center offers a convenient venue with drive-in access for regional shops. For many retailers, this event may be the first trade-focused opportunity in years.

Rocky Mountain Fly & Tackle Trade Day runs October 23–25. Attendance is free for qualified shops and guides.
