    In my neck of the woods in northern WI, we postpone our Trout and Musky fishing and just do Smallmouth Bass. The Pike are self limiting, they usually quit eating by the time the water temps reach 70 degrees.

  2. The only reason to fish for trout is if we can’t fish for smallmouth. Except hoppers for trout..because that’s more like top water for bass.
