Speaking of expos, this digital version from Fly Fishers International kicks off this week.

From FFI:

Fly Fishers International has opened registration for the second annual FFI Virtual Expo taking place from November 4-6. Fly fishing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best instructors, presenters, and fly fishing personalities in the sport during this one-of-a-kind event focused on education and fun. Special guest speakers this year include Blane Chocklett, Alvin Dedeaux, Bruce Chard, Allie Cunningham, Brian O’Keefe, and Land Tawny from Backcountry Hunters and Anglers.

This year, the Virtual Expo will feature over 100 interactive, hands-on workshops and presentations on casting, fly tying, conservation, women in fly fishing, travel, and much more. There are offering for every skill level and all things fly fishing including vendors, break-out rooms, social gatherings, and even a live virtual auction.

“We took the best elements from our inaugural event last year and made it even better,” said Patty Lueken, chair of FFI’s Virtual Expo Planning Committee. “The 2022 Virtual Expo offers something special for every fly fishing enthusiast, and we are proud of the impressive caliber of presenters and instructors who will engage participants in the sport we love.”

“FFI looks forward to hosting this unique event that showcases our focus conservation, education, and community, and allows us to extend our reach to the broader fly fishing community through a virtual platform.” added FFI President and CEO Patrick Berry. “There is simply no other fly fishing event quite like this.”

Even if people are unable to enjoy the impressive breadth of offerings throughout the weekend, everyone will want to participate in the live virtual auction on Friday evening, November 4th at 8 pm EST. FFI has pulled together an incredible array of auction items to enhance the fly fishing experience, including gear, guided trips, destination travel opportunities, and so much more.

Space is limited to the first 1,500 registrants. Registration for FFI members is $25, and the $60 non-member fee includes an annual FFI membership. The registration fee grants you access to the Expo and a wide variety of free workshops, events, and presentations. Some workshops require an additional fee.
