The Fly Fishing Show is excited to announce that six staple shows are locked-in for January through March 2023. And, this year’s shows will again play host to the immensely popular Consumer Choice Awards. These prestigious awards are presented by The Fly Fishing Show, Angling Trade and Fly Fusion Magazine, and serve to recognize and celebrate the outstanding research and development that go into bringing new products to market that continually improve our angling experience. And, as true Consumer Choice Awards, winners will be voted by fly-fishing consumers – the everyday users of these products!
The 2022 Awards represented over 80 brands and showcased 222 products within 32 categories. Best in Show was awarded to Abel Reels who won in both the fresh and saltwater reel category with the Abel ROVE. “Our team at Abel Reels is honored to have been selected to receive the inaugural Best of Show award for our new Abel ROVE Reel.” said Jeff Patterson, Abel & Ross Reel Director of Sales “Winning a consumer choice award like this one motivates us to continue both designing and producing the best fly fishing reels in the industry.”
The awards are free to enter and entry is open to all 2023 Fly Fishing Show Exhibitors. With the addition of 4 new categories, there are 39 “Best-of” categories to choose from, including everything from rods and reels to waders and polarized eyewear. Product submission is OPEN now through December 15th, 2022 and entering is a simple online process.
Awards entries will be showcased online and exhibitors will have the opportunity to connect directly with consumers at shows throughout the voting cycle. Likewise, consumers will have the opportunity to see, touch and test products prior to voting for their favorites. Online voting will be open to the public January 20 – March 10, 2023.
Winning products will be announced following the close of voting and winners will receive the prestigious “Consumer Choice Awards” icon to utilize in marketing efforts throughout 2023!
