Kenneth Andres tapped for AFFTA Board as Ex-Officio member

AFFTA is pleased to announce the appointment of Kenneth Andres to the Board of Directors as an Ex-Officio member.

Ken has been a lifelong outdoorsman. Hunting and fishing the Blue Ridge mountains from childhood, he started working at the Orvis retail store in downtown Roanoke, VA as a teen where he began his fly fishing career.

Over the years he guided and fished throughout the southeast and mid-Atlantic States which culminated into a successful career in the outdoor industry.

Ken has worked for ASA leading and growing the fishing industry trade show, ICAST. He has served on several boards and committees for the fishing and trade show industry.

“The AFFTA Board is a representation of the strong leadership in our industry, from all categories and sizes of business,” said Ben Bulis, AFFTA president. “Ken has been a part of our industry and promoting its growth for a long time. His experience and expertise is a truly welcome addition to the team. We’re excited to have him aboard.”

“I am looking forward to working with familiar brands and names in the fly fishing industry all the while creating new relationships in the industry that I love,” adds Andres. “I have worked with AFFTA for nearly 15 years to help promote the sport of fly fishing and look forward to working even closer with the membership on continuing to grow the sport in a meaningful and successful way.”
