As promised, here is an update on a cohesive, coordinated effort formed to help… all you need to know about how you can make a difference (anything is welcome and appreciated) can be found RIGHT HERE

The devastation in the Bahamas is absolutely tragic and will have a profound impact on the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama for years to come. An impact that will be felt by the fly fishing industry for years to come as well. These fisheries, and the communities that rely on them, are so familiar to most of us that we almost consider them home waters. And that’s why it’s imperative that we step up as an industry and help our Bahamian fly fishing brothers and sisters in this immense time of need.

The American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA), Yellow Dog Community & Conservation Foundation (YDCCF) and Angling Trade Media have formed a single coalition to collect funds that will go directly toward relief efforts for those in our fly fishing family who have lost everything to Hurricane Dorian.

As a member of the fly fishing industry, we need you to join the coalition in support of the guides, lodge employees and their families on Abaco and Grand Bahama islands. This is going to be a sustained effort, and we welcome any input, assistance, donations of any size, you can offer. We are coordinating with people on the ground on both islands to help direct the relief for maximum effect. The money we’ve raised thus far has already been applied to relief flights, and more is happening every day.
