If you’re looking for a unique look at coastal culture… shopping for a gift for someone… interested in a classic and unique book for your own coffee table… or are interested in carrying some of these books in your shop to sell to customers in the pursuit of the aforementioned…

Check out Stilt Houses of Texas, meticulously photographed by our own Tim Romano, and written by Michael J. Medrano.  www.stilthouses.com

You’ve never seen a book quite like it.  Though if you have ever fished the Texas coast, you’ve been in this setting like no other.  Sure it focuses on a number of the quirky structures elevated above the flats to withstand the floods and waves.  But it’s also a super-charged look (and listen) on the real gritty essence of flats fishing.  If you subscribe to the notion that fishing is as much about the stuff you see and the people you meet, as it is about the fish you pull on, you’ll love this book.  It should be an automatic for anyone from Texas who fishes.  Near automatic for anyone who fishes for redfish on the flats, anywhere. And nobody on your nice list wouldn’t appreciate it.  It’s one of the prettiest and best-produced fishing-themed books in recent memory.
