What an honor. Our entire Abel team is proud to announce that our ABEL TR took home the Best New Freshwater Reel award at the 2018 IFTD show.
The 2018 award makes it an unprecedented three consecutive years after the Abel SDS won the Best New Saltwater Reel in 2016, and the Abel SDF was given the freshwater title in 2017.
Held annually in July, the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA), in conjunction with International Fly Tackle Dealer (IFTD), presents the awards. Voting by attending dealers and media occurs in a secure space separate from the manufacturers.
The ABEL TR is now available through authorized Abel dealers in both a 2/3 and 4/5 size, or orders can be placed on the custom TR reel builder page of our website.
