From Headwaters Collective:
Fly-fishing accessory company Loon Outdoors has named Headwaters Collective, a boutique PR firm specializing in outdoor industry and active lifestyle brands, its agency of record. Loon Outdoors, based in southern Oregon’s recreational playground of Ashland, specializes in fly-fishing and fly-tying accessories, with a strong regard for their product’s environmental impact.
“We work as hard as possible on all of our products to make sure they are as
environmentally-friendly as possible,” says Alan Peterson, President of Loon Outdoors. “We use water-based fly-tying cements instead of toxic solvents, replace lead with tungsten where we can and use biodegradable putty instead of plastic, unlike the competition.”
The brand’s product range includes fly-tying tools like scissors, dubbing spinners and bobbins, streamside tools like forceps, zingers and nippers to floatants and sinkets, harkening back to Loon Outdoors heritage as a company founded in chemistry in 1991.
They also make products for line and gear care as well as a collection of lifestyle t-shirts, hats and accessories. Unlike other accessory brands on the market, Loon Outdoors is always trying to find ways to innovate their products to make fly-fishing easier and more
convenient for its participants.
In addition, Loon Outdoors offers free live fly-tying videos on the first and third Thursday of every month at 6 PM PST offering tips, tricks and demos for fly-tying and more. Head here: https://loonoutdoors.com/loonlive
