Kinney Joins G.Loomis as Senior Global Brand Manager

Bringing with him more than 21 years of experience in the sportfishing industry, Michael ‘Scott’ Kinney joins G.Loomis as senior global brand manager, announces Steve Ferrara, product development/supply chain vice president for parent company Shimano American Corp. Kinney is based in Shimano’s Irvine, Calif. office.

“Scott will be working closely with our G.Loomis product design team, headed up by Steve Rajeff, at our facility in Woodland, Wash., along with our sales offices around the globe to plan and develop new rods for their customers and specific fishing applications,” said Ferrara. “His product management skills from his experience in rod manufacturing will be a tremendous asset to the G.Loomis team.”

Kinney comes to G.Loomis after 12 years with Primesource Sports. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo, along with an MBA from Cal State – Long Beach. He resides in Lake Forest, Calif. with his wife and three children.
