Simms Fishing Products sponsors new film that premieres at Ellen Theatre

Bozeman, Mont. Already known as a “fishy” town – Bozeman, home of Simms Fishing Products, will be the focus of the fly-fishing world on Oct. 7 as the Ellen Theatre plays host to the world premiere of “Connect” the latest release from Confluence Films.

The third full-length movie project from Confluence Films, “Connect” features a line-up of interesting characters, captivating locales, and a series of stories that provide a fantastic look at the industry, the sport and the places fishing can take us.

Simms is proud to sponsor the film that includes individual stories shot around the world in locations as diverse as Japan, Maine, Cuba, Alaska, Yellowstone National Park, and Tanzania. As with Drift and Rise, Connect is the result of a partnership by Director and Cinematographer Chris Patterson of Warren Miller Entertainment and Executive Producer and Writer Jim Klug of Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures.

The World Premiere of Connect will be held at The Ellen Theatre in Bozeman, Montana on Oct. 7, where Confluence will offer an exclusive VIP screening of the film for members of the fly fishing industry. VIP tickets will be made available to guides, outfitters, retailers, and members of the media. Two additional public screenings will be held on Saturday, October 8 (5 p.m. and 8 p.m.). Tickets are now on sale throughout Bozeman and on-line. The Connect DVD will be available for sale November 4 online at www.simmsfishing.com and www.confluencefilms.tv and at select specialty fly shops – just in time to give it as a holiday gift. The newly released Connect trailer can be viewed at www.confluencefilms.tv.

For the month prior to the DVD release of Connect, Confluence Films is also offering early screening opportunities to qualified conservation organizations. Throughout October, retailers, conservation groups and clubs have the chance to exclusively premiere the new film in their area as a fundraiser for fisheries-based conservation projects. Interested groups should contact Jim Klug of Confluence Films at (406) 585-8667 or by email at [email protected].
