What do you really know about rod warranties, and do you explain them to customers?
- I assume that all rods come with basically the same, unconditional lifetime warranty, which is a great benefit.
- I think every rod company has different terms and conditions, and they factor heavily into the choices I—and my customers—make.
- I think rod companies imply that the warranty is more complete than it is, then they zap you when you actually break a rod.
- You break it, you pay… I’m fine with that, and appreciate when I get my original rod fixed at all.
- I just want to fish, so the company that offers a quick fix solution wins in my book.
- I think the warranty is basically a nothing-burger.
