From USAC:Mark your calendar! The 2025 USAC General Membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., at the Murray City Library, located at 166 East, 5300 South, Murray, Utah 84107. We encourage all members in good standing to attend. In addition to hearing updates from USAC’s Officers and legal team, we will be holding elections for the 2026 USAC Board of Directors.
Meanwhile, USAC needs you, our faithful members, to get more involved with the fight for stream access in Utah! We seek representation from across the state. Living along the Wasatch Front is not mandatory, and we believe broader membership participation is critical to the success of our mission. USAC is looking for motivated individuals who are willing to help drive that mission. Are you interested, or do you know someone who is interested, in being more involved?
Beginning today (November 12, 2025) and ending on November 26, 2025, we are accepting nominations for candidates for four (4) individuals to serve on USAC’s 2026 Board of Directors. Those elected will serve the 2026 term with Sean Leonard, Herbert Ley, and Brandon Hill, who have been selected by the existing board to serve an additional term.
Eligibility Requirements:
•Must be a current Full Member of USAC in good standing (or willing to join).
•Demonstrated commitment to USAC’s mission and public access advocacy.
•Ability to attend monthly board meetings and participate in committees or events (approximately 10 hours per month).
•Prior nonprofit, legal, communications, or outdoor recreation experience is helpful, but not required.
Board and Officer positions play a vital role in guiding USAC’s advocacy, outreach, and strategic direction. Whether you bring professional expertise or personal passion for Utah’s waterways, your leadership can make a lasting impact.
If you are interested, nominations can be submitted directly by email to [email protected] and will be reviewed and approved by the sitting Board of Directors. You may nominate yourself or someone else. Please include with your nomination a brief paragraph about your nominee stating why they want to be more involved, and why they would be an asset to the USAC Board of Directors. The ballot will be finalized one week before the 12/10/2025 membership meeting (i.e., by 12/3/2025).
