Berin Jacob Wachsmann is a seasoned professional who has three decades of Real Estate, Carpentry and fly fishing experience combined with a lifetime of dedication to the outdoors. Born and raised on horse and cattle ranches across Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming, Berin learned the value of hard work early and developed a lasting respect for nature’s balance. His calm and steady presence, paired with exceptional communication skills, defines his approach both on and off the water.As a certified fly fishing guide, Berin has spent his life exploring trout waters across the Western United States and Alaska. Berin is no stranger to the Ocean and has fished extensively in Florida on both coasts, the Keys and premier international destinations as well. His fishing resume includes trips to Argentina’s Pira Lodge and the Delta Eco Lodge, the flats of Cuba, Mexico and Turks and Caicos, and the mangroves of Costa Rica. He is equally skilled in freshwater and saltwater, with extensive experience rowing drift boats, rafts, poling, and running skiffs. His global relationships with lodge owners and guides reflect his credibility and passion within the industry.
Before guiding, Berin built a 25-year career in building and real estate, closing more than 1000 transactions and earning recognition as a top producer and partner at his firm. This experience sharpened his ability to manage complex logistics, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and deliver exceptional client service—skills that translate directly to providing seamless, world-class angling experiences. During that time Berin earned a life coaching certificate giving him additional ability to relate with clients on many levels. His background as a master carpenter and contractor also brings a practical edge to guiding in remote or rugged environments. There is nothing he can’t build. Berin is able to run skidsteers to small farm equipment, any power tool that exists and has extensive experience in timber frames, log homes and tree work including clearing, felling and logging.
Berin’s impact extends beyond fishing. Through the initiative, Fly Fishing Saves Live he combines his love of the sport with service to others, supporting organizations like Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Colorado Youth Outdoors, and Risers for Rett. His work highlights how time on the water restores well-being and connection.
