Angling Trade Survey: Do you notice, and do you care, which company makes the flies you buy?

• I notice a total difference when it comes to quality, durability, etc.
• All I care about is the pattern. Flies are commodities… an Adams is an Adams, and a Woolly Bugger is a Woolly bugger.
• I care about price foremost. I’m looking for flies that cost less, regardless of who makes them.
• I go off the recommendation of the fly shop—who they buy from is fine with me.
• I tie my own flies, and rarely buy them at stores.
