Yellowstone National Park closed its entrances, and communities throughout the region braced for more flooding as a historic intersection of snowpack runoff and two or more inches of rain caused flooding in and around the Park the likes of which have not been recorded.

Fly fishing businesses from Gardiner to Red Lodge, Montana, and elsewhere in the region have braced for more impact, as the floods have already washed away bridges and highways, as well as a number of riverfront homes and other structures.
