Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Fly Fishing Guide to join our dynamic team. This position goes beyond leading memorable fishing expeditions on our pristine, private-access waters; our guides also contribute to a variety of ranch activities to ensure an outstanding guest experience. If you love the outdoors, enjoy teaching, and have a strong work ethic, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Guided Fly Fishing Adventures: Safely lead guests on excursions along our exclusive waters, teaching proper casting techniques, entomology, fly selection, and other angling strategies.
Equipment Maintenance: Keep rods, reels, and other gear in top condition, managing inventories and performing basic repairs.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, ensuring guests enjoy the sport responsibly and confidently.
Ranch Support: Assist in various ranch operations, from guest check-ins to light housekeeping, as needed.
Customer Engagement: Deliver top-tier hospitality, answer questions about local fish species and the Montana ecosystem, and create personalized experiences that delight our guests.

Qualifications

Fly Fishing Expertise: Proven experience as a fly fishing guide or a strong background in trout fishing.
Teaching Skills: Ability to instruct beginners while catering to more seasoned anglers.
Work Ethic: Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and a commitment to professionalism.
Adaptability: Willingness to help with ranch tasks beyond fishing, such as cleaning or minor event support.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a welcoming, educational environment for guests.
Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver’s license, current CPR/ First Aid certification, and clean driving record are preferred.
