Position Available: Heavy Equipment Riverine Operator

FlyWater, inc. is an accomplished riverine consulting and construction firm with over 20 years of river construction experience. Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, we are a small team of engineers, project managers, biologists, geologists, and construction equipment operators with a passion for rivers and fisheries. Our passion for rivers combined with our team’s unique and diverse experiences has produced many successful watershed conservation and aquatic recreation projects throughout the Rocky Mountains.
FlyWater, inc. is looking for a Heavy Equipment Riverine Operator to join our team in Summer 2023 with interviews for position beginning in May. Project locations and assignments range throughout Colorado. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment, mechanized and hand tools in a riverine environment to complete improvement and enhancement projects. Salary depends on experience (DOE).
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate heavy equipment, trucks, mechanized and hand tools.
• Ensure compliance with FlyWater, inc.’s safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect, maintain, and clean equipment.
• Interpret and understand design plan sets.
• Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Previous experience as an equipment operator required.
• 3-5 years’ experience as an equipment operator desired.
• Knowledge of and ability to safely operate heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• General mechanical aptitude a plus.
• Exposure to weather elements year-round.
• Travel for work and projects required.
• An appreciation and love of the outdoors, specifically related to rivers and fishing.
