Angler’s West Flyfishing Outfitters is on the lookout for a Retail Sales Associate for the summer season of 2025. As the go-to fly shop in Paradise Valley, we offer top-notch gear and expert guiding services for all your fly fishing needs. With the beautiful Yellowstone River and National Park right next door, you’ll be in the middle of the longest freestone river in the Lower 48.
In this role, you’ll interact directly with our guests, help them book trips, and assist in coordinating our daily guided outings. If you love fly fishing, this is the perfect chance to share your passion while working in our shop. You’ll be teaming up closely with our owner, managers, and guiding staff.
We’re looking for someone with solid fly fishing knowledge and a good understanding of the gear out there. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and retail experience is preferred. Bonus points if you know the Yellowstone area or Southwest Montana! Great customer service skills are a must, whether you’re chatting with folks in person, over the phone, or via email.
Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, a team player, adaptable, and enjoys a fast-paced environment. Being friendly and having strong communication skills are essential. Basic math skills for cash handling are needed, too, and you should be comfortable with physical tasks and standing for long periods. Experience with Microsoft Suite, point-of-sale systems, and Windows is required. You can expect 40 hours of work each week, with the possibility of extra hours during busier times.
