The theme is Public Lands and it includes features by Tom Reed (Somewhere South of Fairplay: Ruminations on Public Land), profiles of public lands champions by Christine Peterson, a discussion of culling rainbows from the South Fork of the Snake by Kris Millgate, and an homage by Nicholas Blixt on his favorite public land places to fly fish. The issue also features one of the last unpublished John Gierach essays, “Missoula” accompanied by original art from Bob White. As editor of that magazine, I want to say a special thanks to all the companies that advertised in that issue, demonstrating support for public lands. You get the magazine when you sign up as a member of TU for $35 per year. TU is also introducing a digital version of TROUT in coming months.
