Nation’s leading digital paddlesports magazine gets new domain, logo, partnerships, design, and more.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLO. (Oct. 28, 2020) – Paddling Life, the paddlesports industry’s leading online magazine founded by a team of industry veterans with more than 50 years of publishing experience, announced the launch of a stunning new website—www.paddlinglife.com—featuring and a host of new features, content, programs, partnerships, and more. The relaunch also includes a URL change from paddlinglife.net to paddlinglife.com.

“The COVID pandemic has given us some time to re-design and tweak the site so it’s better than ever,” says founder Eugene Buchanan, the former publisher and editor-in-chief of Paddler magazine. “Plus, with today’s changing media landscape it’s a great way for people to stay abreast of the world of paddlesports. Our whole goal is to help to support and grow paddlesports and keep the sport’s stoke alive.”

Founded in 2008, Paddling Life is emerging as the U.S. leader in the paddlesports industry in terms of important consumer and industry events and races, breaking news, travel and destinations, authentic gear reviews, and how-to coverage. Now under the new domain PaddlingLife.com, the re-design carries a new look and feel, a new logo, new ad sizes for mobile and other platforms, wider circulation, more social media presence, and more.

The company also announced the hiring of its new website development director Miles De Feyter, a former raft guide and professional website consultant, and advertising sales director Nick Hinds, a former sales executive for Canoe & Kayak, SUP the Mag, and Paddler magazines. Both join industry veteran Buchanan and long-time media veteran and award-winning writer Aaron Bible in bringing paddling news to more people than ever.

Paddling Life has also inked content sharing partnerships with industry stalwart American Whitewater and adventure-lifestyle magazine Elevation Outdoors to further expanding its reach.

New partnership packages also make it one of the most affordable marketing buys in the industry, with campaigns augmented by robust branded-content programs published on both Paddling Life and partner sites and social channels. Stories run from product reviews to athlete, ambassador and business profiles — all geared specifically to each partner’s needs. Combined with newsletter sponsorships, banner campaigns, product showcases, and social promotion, it offers a wide reach for budgets of all levels.

“Paddling is such an incredible lifetime sport,” says Buchanan. “We’re just hoping to help more people experience it while staying on top of the sport’s pulse through news coverage, events, profiles, gear reviews, story links and more.”
