(Angling Trade Applauds This as a Very Smart Move)

AFFTA announced yesterday that Rachel Leinweber from Angler’s Covey in Colorado Springs, Colo., was appointed to the AFFTA board. Rachel will be immediately filling a retailer seat that was recently vacated by Andy Dunn who recently joined Fishpond. She will be serving the remaining two years of that seat’s term.

“Rachel is a tremendous addition to our board,” says Ben Bulis, AFFTA president. “Her experience and perspective will play an important role in the work we do as an association. Our retailers are an important voice and she’s a strong representative who will make sure that voice is heard. It’s awesome to have her with us.” Bulis adds, “and we wish Andy all the best in his new endeavor. We’re really excited for him.”

“We couldn’t be happier to have Rachel joining us,” says Jim Bartschi, newly seated AFFTA board chairman. “We have a lot of really exciting work ahead of us as a board, and she’s going to be a welcome asset as we dig in. I’m proud to be part of such a talented and dedicated team. Our industry is better for their leadership.”
