I love Chaco Flip-flops. They are extremely durable and offer arch support which is rare for a flip flop. And let me tell you, I put the Fishpond + Chaco Native Flip to the test! I’m in and out of the water for work and play all summer long. The sandals remain firmly on your feet wading on rocks as well as ankle deep mud. Even after hours of exposure to dirt and grime, a quick wash with a little detergent and warm water and they look brand new.
The gorgeous trout coloring on the webbing of the sandal stayed vibrant and the fabric did not appear worn nor did it stretch out after a summer of extensive use. The sandal is offered in men’s sizes only and they run a bit small. I wear anywhere from a women’s 9 ½ – 11 (solidly an 11 in athletic shoes) and the men’s 9 (which translates to women’s 11) was a perfect fit for me. As an added bonus, $2.50 of the purchase goes to help rivers. $70; fishpondusa.com.

TROUT Media, the print/digital/and social media arm of Trout Unlimited, is partnering with Angling Trade Magazine to create insightful, honest, reporting and gear review content in the fly-fishing space. Both entities will be sharing various written reviews and videos on their respective platforms going forward. TU will bring reviews by everyday anglers, for everyday anglers, while Angling Trade will bring insights from professional editors who have been exclusively focused on the North American fly-fishing market for over 15 years. It will be a mix of gear reviews unlike anything produced to date.
