Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures is pleased to announce that world-renowned guide, filmmaker and traveling angler Jako Lucas has signed a formal deal with the company as the newest international travel ambassador for Yellow Dog. In addition to hosting trips, working with Yellow Dog clients, assisting with consumer shows and events, and promoting Yellow Dog’s full range of offerings, Lucas will also serve in an advisory capacity, helping to develop new destination offerings, evaluating existing offerings and working with the Yellow Dog team on expanding the company’s services. Jako joins fellow Yellow Dog Ambassadors Oliver White and Jeff Currier.
Raised in South Africa, Jako Lucas has fished many of South Africa’s premier fresh and saltwater destinations since he was four years old, and represented his province and country in various competitions throughout his youth. After completing a marketing degree at the University of Johannesburg, he moved to London, where he began working at Farlows of Pall Mall. He is an accomplished angler offering a guide resume that includes four years in Mongolia, five in Norway, ten in various locales in the Indian Ocean including Astove and Providence, and several other locations. He’s fished across the globe and has won numerous awards for his filmmaking through Captain Jack Films.
