From Costa:

Costa recently introduced two new lightweight-yet-durable styles for 2014, the semi-rimless Austin and the rimless Destin. Both styles feature strong nylon frame construction, non-slip nose pads and temple tips, and sturdy integral hinges for a “forget-they’re-on” fit.

Austin offers a semi-rimless medium fit, and is available in frame colors including tortoise, shiny black, orchid and crystal bronze. It features Costa’s patented 580P™ 100 percent polarized color enhancing lens technology, which eliminates reflective glare while blocking harmful UV rays. Austin starts in retail at $169.

The new rimless Destin style provides a large fit with square-shaped Costa 580P lenses. The lightweight frame construction features thinner, more flexible arms. Destin’s frame colors include tortoise, matte crystal and matte blue, and starts in retail at $159.

“Both Austin and Destin are ideal styles for active outdoor enthusiasts because they’re so lightweight, and yet they can withstand rugged adventures,” said Chas MacDonald, president of Costa Sunglasses. “What they lack in size, they make up for in comfort and durability.”

Austin and Destin are available now at authorized Costa retail partners, and online at www.costadelmar.com.

For Costa, conservation is all about sustainable fishing. Many fisheries that should be vibrant and healthy are all but devoid of native fish because they have fallen victim to poor fishing practices, unregulated development, lack of watershed protection or all of the above. Costa works with partners around the world to help increase awareness and influence policy so that both the fish and fishermen of tomorrow will have healthy waters to enjoy. Costa encourages others to help in any way they can.
