New AFFTA Membership Benefit

AFFTA has been working with the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation (RBFF) to provide a “fly” specific icon on Take Me Fishing™ Places to Boat & Fish Map interactive map.

The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF), in partnership with the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA), is pleased to be able to offer your business/organization a free benefit thanks to your AFFTA membership – placement on the Take Me Fishing™ Places to Boat & Fish Map as a point of interest. We hope that placement of so many fly fishing businesses/organizations on the Places to Boat & Fish Map will help support AFFTA’s mission to promote the sustained growth of the fly-fishing industry by providing consumers with access to and knowledge of fly fishing products and services close to them. Below you will find additional information about the map. Please do not hesitate to reach out to RBFF Manager of Strategic Partnerships, Rachel Auslander, with any questions: [email protected]

All current AFFTA members will be added to this resource unless you request to opt-out by contacting Callie Bassett [email protected] by December 15, 2013.

RBFF’s mission – to increase participation in recreational angling and boating and thereby increase public awareness and appreciation of the need to protect, conserve and restore this nation’s aquatic natural resources – closely aligns with AFFTA’s strategic objectives. RBFF’s consumer campaign, Take Me Fishing, and the campaign’s website,, work to create awareness around boating, fishing and conservation, and educates people about the benefits of participation. Take Me Fishing helps boaters and anglers of all ages and experience levels learn, plan and equip for a day on the water.

Thank you for all you do to help get people out on the water, each and every day!
