Fantail

Fantail

Costa Del Mar’s Fantail has a hard rectangular shaped frame for a medium to large fit. The nylon construction provides durability and what Costa describes as “forget-they’re-on” comfort. They are available in tortoise or black frame colors, and they feature Costa’s “580” glass lenses, which many guides describe as the clearest lenses on the planet. In our opinion, glass is still the most optically clear and scratch resistant compound, but polycarbonate offers a lightweight, impact-resistant alternative, at a lower price. Fantail is available in both lens materials. Lens colors include gray, copper, amber for Costa 580P, with the same colors, plus blue, green, and silver mirror options in 580G. Fantail retails from $149 to $249, depending on customized lens selection.

Like all Costa sunglasses, Tag is hand assembled in Florida with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defects and can be customized with the frame and lens color of choice.
